Landmark Bank, having recently opened its third office, in Greensburg, La., recently announced that two new lenders have joined the firm. Carrie Hempsted McGehee brings 30 years of banking and mortgage experience and will focus on consumer lending. Ben Cavin has a background in small business development with Regions Bank and specializes in helping small businesses grow. Both work in the Zachary office.

“Carrie’s experience in mortgage and real estate lending, and her relationships within the industry, will be an asset to our bank and a benefit to our customers,” said President Tommy Legleu. “With continued real estate development in the Zachary area, we'd already begun to offer a variety of mortgage products and now will be able to offer even more options to our customers.”

McGehee has spent the last 30 years as a banker in the Baton Rouge area and now resides in Ethel. She is very active in the Zachary community as member of the Rotary Club and with both the Zachary and Central Chambers of Commerce. She is also a member of the Century Club of Zachary, which supports Zachary athletics, and she is an LSU Track & Field mom.

Ben Cavin is a Zachary area native and graduate of Zachary High School. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northwestern State University and is currently enrolled in the Executive MBA program at Southeastern Louisiana University where he is expected to graduate in May.

Cavin worked for Regions Bank from 2006-11, where he served as Branch Manager of the Zachary location.

Cavin is also active in the Zachary area where he is a member of the Rotary Club and both the Zachary and Central Chambers of Commerce. He has been a team leader for the Zachary/Baker Relay for Life event for the past two years.

Cavin says Landmark Bank seems to be the perfect fit for him. “I’ve served clients across Louisiana, and I’ve been exposed to a wide variety of lending products. I really enjoy getting out and working with my customers and community leaders," said Cavin. "I was looking for a place I could call home, and I think the people at Landmark are great.” Outside of banking, Cavin enjoys live music and LSU athletics.
