Youth Ballet has brought classical dance to Baton Rouge area libraries, youth camps, community centers, retirement centers and nursing homes for the past two weeks during their tour.
Youth Ballet performs in settings where many audience members have little or no chance to attend a live performance of any sort, especially ballet, due to physical or socio-economic limitations.
Each season, Youth Ballet tours the Baton Rouge area performing a children's version of a classical ballet. Youth Ballet gives young dancers an exciting opportunity to not only improve technique but also develop performance skills. As they train and perform together, these young dancers receive valuable professional-calibre training, while also delighting area audiences with their highly-anticipated productions.
The 2012 Youth Ballet summer tour ends Friday, June 15.
