Cormier has been employed as a St. Edmund Elementary librarian for the past six years and has always enjoyed writing. She said, “I have enjoyed writing since I was a young girl. I have started a few writing projects over the span of 10 years or so. I suppose it is my vivid imagination and the love of reading that lead me to develop a hobby of writing stories.”
Cormier worked on the novel on and off for the past three years. She added, “I decided last summer to finish it and I guess it was at that point that I decided I wanted to see the finished product and share it with others.”
Cormier shared a brief description of her novel, “After years of being away, Josephine Namin returns to the only place she has ever thought of as home to escape an abusive ex-boyfriend. An unexpected discovery leads her to wonder if she will ever be able to move beyond past, unhealthy relationships or if it will be the strings to those relationships that will ultimately keep her from having what she wants the most.”
Cormier, a resident of Eunice, has been married for the past six years to Justin Cormier and is the mother of three, Preston, Gracie and Camille.
