A seventh subject has been arrested and booked at the St. John the Baptist Parish Correctional Center, TFC Russell Graham stated in a news release issued Friday.

The arrest was made in connection with the recent shooting of Michael Scott Boyington on La. Hwy. 3217, Graham said.

The suspects arrested are:

Subject 1: Terry Smith, W/M, age 44 of 250 Riverview Court, Laplace 70068

Charges: Principal to Attempted 1st Degree Murder of a Police Officer

Subject 2: Brian Lyn Smith, W/M, age 24 of 250 Riverview Court, Laplace 70068

Charges: Attempted 1st Degree Murder of a Police Officer

Subject 3: Derrick Smith, W/M, age 22 of 258 Riverview Court, Laplace 70068

Charges: Principal to Attempted 1st Degree Murder of a Police Officer

Subject 4: Kyle David Joekel, W/M, age 28 of 245 Riverview Court, Laplace 70068

Charges: Principal to Attempted 1st Degree Murder of a Police Officer

Subject 5: Chanel Skains, W/F, age 37 of 250 Riverview Court, Laplace 70068

Charges: Accessory after the Fact to Attempted 1st Degree Murder of a Police Officer

Subject 6: Teniecha Bright, B/F, age 21, of 245 Riverview Court, Laplace 70068

Charges: Principal to Attempted 1st Degree Murder of a Police Officer

Subject 7: Brittney Keith, W/F, age 23, of 250 Riverview Court, Laplace 70068

Charges: Accessory after the Fact to Attempted 1st Degree Murder of a Police Officer
