The Kiwanis Club of Zachary is holding a Fall Fundraising event - a Pastalaya Dinner Sale - on Friday, Sept. 14. The Pastalaya sale will be set up at the Zachary Walmart from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Tickets are $5 each and may be obtained from any Zachary Kiwanian or from Al Phillips, State Farm, 4698 Hwy. 19 in Zachary.

Delivery service for several dinner orders to the same address is also available. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of the dinners will benefit Zachary Kiwanis Club projects.

Additionally, on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 6:30 p.m., Zachary Kiwanis will hold its Officer Installation Dinner at Sammy’s Grill. Guest speaker for the occasion will be the Honorable Judge John Michael Guidry.

Judge Guidry is a judge on the Louisiana Court of Appeal First Circuit. He represents the Second District and was elected to this position in October of 1997. Guidry was re-elected in 2002 and 2010. His current term ends in 2020, and he is a candidate for a Justice position on the Louisiana Supreme Court.
