The Fall Art Crawl is an art-promoting event designed to stimulate local economy, as well as promote local artists. This event is FREE and open to the public.
Participating business will feature one to three artists by displaying and selling their artwork inside or outside their location throughout the evening.
RACZ will designate the artist for the participating business, and in exchange for the business hosting the artist(s), a percentage of any artwork sold will be donated back to the business.
Live music will also be featured at several stops along the designated art crawl route, as well as theatrical productions by local performers.
In addition, there will be a wine and beer tasting held inside the Zachary Chamber of Commerce. Legal drinking age requirements will be strictly enforced, and no alcohol will be permitted outside the Chamber.
Artwork displays will begin in the Gift Gallery Florist/Shag Studio shopping center and end at JoLynn’s Boutique next to Zachary United Methodist Church.
The Fall Art Crawl is modeled after Baton Rouge Mid-City Merchants District art hops such as White Light Nights and Hot Art, Cool Nights.
RACZ invites neighboring communities to attend Zachary's first Fall Art Crawl event.
In addition, the Zachary Artists Guild will host a Silent Auction Fundraiser during the art crawl from 6-9 p.m. at the Chamber building, 4633 Main St.
All will be welcome to bid on original artwork by ZAG artists.
Watercolor, oil, photography, acrylic, picture books and chain saw carvings will be some of the mediums featured.
Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit ZAG, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the visual arts in the Zachary area. For more information about the auction, please contact Margaret Harmon at 788-5999.
