In Zachary, Petsense opened one of its newest locations at 5875 Main St., Suite A, with a grand opening celebration for customers and the community on Saturday, Sept. 15.
Pet photographs, face painting and refreshments were featured. Petsense carries top brand names in pet food and supplies, grooming products, toys, carriers and flea and tick control products, as well as clothes, yes, clothes, for man's best friends plus much more.
Store manager Salvador Gourgues said Petsense also features Cat Haven - a kitty adoption center open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Monthly pet adoptions will also be held by working jointly with Companion Animal Alliance, Feliciana Animal Welfare Society and Pit Stop Rescue, a rescue organization for pit bulls.
This month Petsense is donating $100 to each of those organizations.
