This event will be the first ever officially sanctioned barbecue cook-off in the area with fun activities for the entire family.
The celebration begins Sept. 28 with live music by Dale Sellars & the Back Roads Band from 6:30-9:30 p.m
A “Smoke on the Water” lighted boat parade starts at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, Sept. 29, the day starts at 8 a.m. with the area’s first ever officially sanctioned BBQ cook-off.
There will also be live entertainment on Saturday that kicks off at 9:30 a.m. and doesn’t end until 4 p.m.
Attendees will enjoy food, drinks and fun both days!
CALLING ALL KIDS - On Saturday, fun jumps will be featured from 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. and a Kids Fishing Tournament starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m. - it will be a blast!
The inaugural Rockin’ and Roastin’ on the River appeals to people of all ages and will feature a variety of arts, crafts and home-made goodies available all day Saturday, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Be sure to buy your chance to win a BBQ pit or Cypress rocker in a raffle drawing to be held Saturday.
All are welcome to come out and join in the fun on Morrison Parkway, Sept. 28-29, at New Roads’ inaugural Rockin’ and Roastin’ on the River event.
