Battlefield Cross Country Festival Sept. 29 at Port Hudson SHS

In conjunction with Forge Racing, the Baton Rouge Area Sports Foundation will jump-start the fall high school cross country season with the Inaugural Battlefield Cross Country Festival. The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Port Hudson State Historic Site in Jackson, 236 U.S. Hwy 61.

This trail race will consist of five divisions divided by girl’s and boy’s junior varsity middle school and high school teams. Divisions include: Boy's High School 3 mile, Girl's High School 3 mile, Boy's JV/Middle School 2 mile, Girl's JV/Middle school 2 mile and JV/Middle Open 2 mile.

Pre-registration is required for all teams, as well as a $50 non-refundable fee. Check-in will begin at 7 a.m., and the races will officially start at 9 a.m.

In addition, Zachary High School will be co-hosting the inaugural event. All are invited to attend.
