State Police said the unbelted Richard Kennedy, Jr., 25, drove his truck and a travel trailer off La. 10 east of La 961 shortly after midnight and struck several trees.
Kennedy was driving his pickup east and pulling a travel trailer when the truck left the left side of the road and hit the trees.
