The Baker Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 3600 Harding St. about 2:14 a.m. on Sunday morning.

The first unit on the scene said the blaze was a fully engulfed shed fire that was starting to spread to the homeowners' residence, said Howard Ward, Public Information Officer with the Baker FD.

Baker firefighters extinguished the fire followed by a primary search of the residence, Ward said.

All seven occupants of the home made it out before BFD's arrival.

Ward said the fire also spread to the carport - an extension of the residence - and to a wooden fence.

In addition, the blaze also damaged a second shed on a neighbor's property.

One of the homeowners' vehicles, which was parked inside the shed, was totally destroyed, and a second car located under the carport received some damage, reported Ward.

Baker fire investigators were called to determine the exact cause of the blaze, which is estimated to have caused at about $100,000 in damages, Ward said.

Red Cross was also contacted for the two adults and five children - ages unknown - who lived at the Harding Street home.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
