Zachary, Central and surrounding communities are invited to join Relay for Life organizers as our four-legged loved ones are celebrated in the ACS Bark for Life event slated for Sunday, Oct. 28, from 2-5 p.m.
Bark for Life will be held at Raising Canes Dog Park, located at BREC's Zachary Community Park, 20055 Old Scenic Hwy. (Hwy. 964).
Participants can pre-register their pets online for $15 by visiting www.relayforlife.org/zacharycentralBFL. Registration will also be available the day of the event for $20. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
For owners registering more than one dog, each additional dog will cost only $5. In addition, each dog registered will receive a Bark for Life bandana to wear at the event - while supplies last.
The American Cancer Society's Bark for Life is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness in the fight against cancer.
By supporting Bark For Life, you help the American Cancer Society save lives, and that helps us move closer to our ultimate goal of a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
So bring your best canine friends, and don't miss out on all the fun owner/pet activities scheduled throughout the event.
Activities include agility tests, guest speakers, music, a survivor/caregiver lap, Fall pup photos and much more!
Dress to impress! Prizes will be awarded to the dogs with the Best Halloween Costume, Best Trick and Best Owner/Pet Look-a-Like.

1 p.m. - Registration
2 p.m. - Opening ceremonies
3 p.m. - Judging begins
4 p.m. - Awards ceremony
4:30 p.m. - Closing ceremony
