Zachary Elementary Schools Parent-Teacher Organizations (ZEPTO) is hosting a homecoming carnival. The event - formerly known as Poboys n’ Bids for our Kids - will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Copper Mill Elementary School, located at 1300 Independence Blvd. off La. Hwy. 964 (Old Scenic Highway).

The organization is hoping to make this year’s fundraiser a great success. Their goal is to get everyone in the Zachary community involved.

Sausage poboy dinners are currently for sale at the Bank of Zachary and by the students of all elementary schools in Zachary. Other festival foods will also be featured such as popcorn, nachos, cotton candy and sno balls.

Each class from all four elementary schools is responsible for coordinating their own booth. They may also share a booth with up to three other classes. Activities at the carnival will include games, inflatables, face painting, obstacle courses and much, much more. There will also be a few surprises you won’t want to miss.

The homecoming carnival is fun for the entire family!

Classes will also team with their 'switch-class' to provide a silent auction basket. These popular baskets are auctioned off the day of the event, and always feature terrific goodies.

ZEPTO's Mayor for a Day, Police Chief for a Day, Fire Chief for a Day, Principal for a Day and more will also be featured the day of the event.
