Keith Crochet, a husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, coach and much more to many people, was diagnosed with glioblastoma at the age of 54.
Glioblastoma is the most common and most aggressive malignant form of brain tumor in humans.
Following a resection of the tumor, Keith suffered a stroke leaving him with paralysis on the left side of his body. He was given three to six months at best, and was told that he could go to sleep and not wake up on any given morning.
The family has been blessed with two and a half wonderful years with Keith and they are grateful for every day with him.
This weekend, friends, family and golfers will come together to help raise funds to help with the rising cost of medical bills that have plagued the Crochet family.
The Keith Crochet Benefit Golf tournament will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Fennwood Country Club, 6003 Fennwood Dr., in Zachary.
All funds raised go toward medical bills and expenses.
The Keith Crochet Benefit Golf Tournament will be a 4-man Scramble format on an 18-hole course.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and an auction and raffle will also be held. Goodie bags for players will also be given.
