Seth Turner, 11, enjoys what all little boys enjoy - playing baseball, bike riding, playing video and computer games and spending time with family.

Looking at him, you'd never know he was born with congenital heart disease (CHD).

Turner was born Sept. 6, 2001, with hypo-plastic heart syndrome or HLHS. His parents had no idea what they would up against or what was in store for their son.

One can never be prepared for all the doctors, surgeries, tests, hospital stays and all that comes with having a child who is sick.

However, his parents could not have asked for a better cardiologist. Their son's doctor was honest, he gave them all the odds, statistics, different scenarios and explained that their son's future was uncertain.

They also could not have planned for all the love their son would bring into their lives plus everyone's around him.

Seth Turner has beaten the odds, the obstacles and all the challenges before him - until recently.

He's just been placed on a heart transplant list and now waits to become a little boy who is no longer sick.

Turner was admitted to Ochsner's Hospital in New Orleans and will remain there until a perfect match is found.

Chili's in Zachary has agreed to give 10 percent of all sales on Thursday, Oct. 25, to assist Seth and his family with medical costs.

The community is invited to eat at Chili's on Thursday to show its support. Also, please keep Seth in your prayers.

If you are unable to make the event at Chili's, donations for the Seth Turner Heart Fund can be made to any Whitney Bank. A tax ID number is available upon your request.

The Turner family thanks you!
