Members of the Alexander Stirling Chapter DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) met at Zachary United Methodist Church on Wednesday, Oct. 17, to hear Dr. Greg Davis speak on “Sin and Forgiveness in the Bible.”

The informative and entertaining speech was part of DAR's annual prayer breakfast.

Classes of ZUMC's 4-year-olds entertained the ladies prior to the meeting by singing and signing “Jesus Loves Me.”

Patricia Babin, Brenda Triche, Brenda Ellzey, Keith Schwendimann and Sue Easterly prepared the delicious breakfast for attendees.

Proposed for membership were Joy Smith Stegner, Karla Baxter Schexnayer and Bernadette Loebs.

DAR's next regular meeting will be held at Magnolia Mound Plantation in Baton Rouge.

Reservations for a tour of the home and lunch are $25 and should be sent to Brenda Ellzey, 382 East Plains-Port Hudson Rd., Zachary, 70791 by Friday, Nov. 2.
