The Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC) will close the administrative offices, 6201 Florida Blvd., on Mon., Dec. 24 and Tues., Dec. 25 for the Christmas holiday. Normal operating hours will resume at all BREC facilities on Wed., Dec. 26.

All BREC tennis centers and special facilities including the Baton Rouge Zoo, Baton Rouge Gallery, Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, Cohn Arboretum, Farr Park Equestrian Center, Highland Road Park Observatory and Independence Park Theatre will close on Mon., Dec. 24 and Tues., Dec. 25 and will reopen on Wed., Dec. 26.

BREC’s Magnolia Mound Plantation, all golf courses and all recreation centers will close on Tues., Dec. 25 and will reopen on Wed., De c. 26.

At BREC’s Perkins Road Extreme Park, the BMX track will close on Dec. 24 and 25, while the skate park will remain open on both days.
