Hibachi Buffet officially opens in Zachary

Hibachi Buffet Zachary opened Dec. 18. Hibachi Buffet Zachary opened Dec. 18. The new Hibachi Buffet Zachary officially opened on Tuesday, Dec. 18, in the former Ryan's restaurant location at 5755 Main St. Hibachi serves sushi, hibachi, seafood, steak, chicken, pork and more buffet style or you can order items directly from the menu.

Owners Sam Chen and Chao Guan Gheng say they are excited to be in the Zachary community. The Chamber of Commerce helped welcome the new Hibachi restaurant and its owners officially on Dec. 19 with a ribbon cutting ceremony that included city, business and community leaders. In attendance were Greg MacDougall, Chris Calbert, Steve Nunnery, Brandon Noel, Kate MacArthur, with Hibachi owner Sam Chen, employee Lan Zhun Lin, Chamber intern Alex Wahoske, Janice Bergeron, John Taylor, Elena Cutera, W. Shaw, Brandy Westmoreland and Glenn Triche.

Hibachi Buffet Zachary has plenty of dining room space, many all-day buffet bars set up and a private party room available. Open seven days a week, Hibachi Buffet hours are Monday thru Thursday, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10: 30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.; and Sundays, 10:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Delicious menu items include appetizers, soups and lo mein (soft noodles), fried rice and mai fun (rice noodles) specials. Chef specialties include Mongolian Beef, General Tso's Chicken, Sesame, Kung Po and Mandarin Chicken dishes.

In addition, special combination platters and diet and lunch menu items are also available. Lunch specials are served Monday thru Saturday from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and include white or brown rice options.
