Congressman Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) was sworn in by House Speaker John Boehner on Jan. 3 for his third term as U.S. Representative for the Sixth Congressional District of Louisiana. He was joined by his wife, Dr. Laura Cassidy, and their three children - Will, Meg and Kate. 

“It is an incredible honor to represent the people of the Sixth District of Louisiana. Being chosen to represent your neighbors and community is an honor no elected official should take for granted. I will work every day to serve my constituents, to listen to them, and to use their wisdom to shape public policy and move Louisiana and America forward,” Congressman Cassidy said at the ceremony.

The Sixth Congressional District of Louisiana includes all of Pointe Coupee Parish and parts of Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Lafourche, Livingston, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. John the Baptist, Terrebonne and West Baton Rouge Parishes.

Congressman Cassidy has District offices in Baton Rouge and Livingston and will be opening an office in Thibodaux this month.
