Fourteen nurses at Lane Regional Medical Center were recently nominated by patients, family members, physicians and colleagues for The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.

Lane’s DAISY Award Honoree for the first half of 2012 is Debbie Gorman, RN.

She is a graduate of LSU-E in Eunice, La., and has been employed at Lane for five years. She currently works in the Intermediate Care and Intensive Care Units.

Gorman is a native of Ville Platte and now resides in Central with her husband, Richard. She has three children, three step-children, six grandchildren and is expecting a granddaughter in March.

In her spare time, the Lane RMC DAISY Award recipient loves to garden. She is also a member of Greenwell Springs Baptist Church and volunteer instructor at Lane’s annual “Keep the Beat” CPR training event.
