On-line registration is now available for Zachary Youth Softball on the league's web site at www.zysoftball.org.

Parents are encouraged to use this means of registration as their primary choice of registering.

The registration form can also be accessed on the softball, baseball or Zachary Parks and Recreation web page at www.cityofzachary.org.

On-site registration will also be available at the Zachary Youth Park, 1650 Mt. Pleasant Road on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 9 a.m. until Noon.

Registration fees are $60 online. If paid in person, cash or check should be made out to City of Zachary.

Shane Hebert, Parks and Recreation Director, has tentatively scheduled tryouts for mid-March followed by a draft where everyone will be placed on a team. League games begin May 22 or 23.

Hebert said the plan is for all games to end by July 4, depending on the number of teams participating.

As a helpful tool, you can visit the softball web site for pre-designed practice plans and plenty of drills for your young athlete to try.
