The events are sponsored by Dee Mather-Muenzler, RE/MAX First, and La Capital Federal Credit Union.
Anyone new to the area is invited to attend.
Additionally, businesses that have hired or plan to hire employees from outside the region are encouraged to contact BRAC to learn more. Event details can be found at www.brac.org/events.
“We are excited to be able to offer this event through our talent development program. This is a great way for those new to the region to learn more and get involved,” said Adam Knapp, president and CEO of BRAC. “When people move to the Baton Rouge area, they often have to figure things out on their own about education, health care, housing, community service, or recreational options. We would like to help new residents in the region learn about the Capital Region so they feel knowledgeable, welcome, and find ways to contribute their talents to the Creative Capital of the South.”
The first event will be held on Saturday, May 4, and begin at 9 a.m. at Kean Miller (II City Plaza, seventh floor).
After several short presentations and a bus tour in and around the downtown area, the event will conclude at the Red Stick Farmer’s Market.
Registration is free and now open for this event at www.brac.org/events.
