All are invited to be a part of an exciting, annual event happening in the Zachary community March 21-24, the 7th annual Zachary Arts & Music Festival!

The Zachary Arts & Music Festival, also called ZFest, will be a weekend full of activities for all art and music lovers, as well as activities for kids, adults and pets! Admission is FREE!

Various genres of music and art will be filling BREC's Zachary Community Park, and food and fun will abound.

Artisans will be set up all over the park displaying and selling their work, and thousands of people are expected to attend this year’s event.

The Zachary Arts & Music Festival is hosted by the Zachary Chamber of Commerce. Presenting sponsors include the Zachary Chamber, BREC and Abita Brewery and consists of volunteers who have given much of their time and effort towards this annual festival.

This year's musical acts scheduled to hit the stage include: Randy Houser, the Chee-Weez, Not4Sale, Boothill and Todd O'Neil Band.

There will also be a carnival with plenty of rides and games, as well as a Children's and Kiddie Village with inflatables.

ZFest begins Thursday, March 21, at 5 p.m. when Midway Carnival opens.

On Friday, March 22, opening ceremonies and remarks from Zachary Mayor David Amrhein and Economic Development Director Kate MacArthur kick off the weekend's events at 5 p.m., followed by a LeBlanc's Wine & Abita Beer kick-off party under the tent in front of the main stage from 5:30 - 7 p.m.

Tickets to this event are $20 in advance and $30 at the door.

Friday also includes the opening of BREC's Children's Village, the Arts & Crafts/marketing booths and the food and beer booths.

In addition, the Todd O'Neil band and the Chee Weez take to the stage at 5:30 and 9:30 p.m. respectively.

On Saturday, March 23, ZFest begins at 10 a.m., ends at 11:30 p.m. and includes a full day of music, local performances, food, games, rides, arts/crafts and much, much more!

Country musician Randy Houser will perform at 9 p.m. on the main stage, and the time is soon to be announced for Boothill, a modern high-energy band from New Orleans.

On Sunday, March 24, the carnival opens at noon, and at 3 p.m. FAWS (Feliciana Animal Welfare Society) presents a Running With the Dogs 5K, and you and your pup are invited to participate.

Winners from the Miss Zachary Pageant will also be featured, as well as live music by Not4Sale at 4 p.m.

The Zachary Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Mayor Amrhein and the Zachary City Council for supporting the Zachary Arts & Music Festival.

Without the cooperation of city government and the many businesses and citizens of Zachary, this festival would not be possible.
