Raising Cane’s Managing Partner Shawn Ventura, of Zachary, was recently featured on a special segment of WBRZ Channel 2 News.

The segment, titled “Making A Difference,” showcased Ventura’s school partnership program - Raising Grades with Raising Cane’s.

Three years ago, Ventura pitched the idea of this partnership with local schools. The goal was to honor 1st - 12th-grade Zachary students who show the most academic improvement.

Ventura said during the segment, which aired Jan. 25, that the program is an incentive to keep students focused on achieving their academic goals.

He explained that he hopes kids who are struggling in school will not give up on their dreams but will, instead, realize that they can do anything in life.

Raising Grades with Raising Cane’s offers students who meet the criteria a free lunch at Raising Cane’s every nine weeks.
