A 16-year-old girl was arrested at Baker High School yesterday.

The female student was accused of threatening to bring a gun to school to kill several students, said Baker Police Chief Mike Knaps.

About 7:25 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, Baker Police were dispatched to the high school in reference to a student threatening to shoot several other students, Chief Knaps said.

The accused student told officers she felt threatened by some students.

One of the other students then reported the incident to school authorities.

The girl told the other students she would bring a gun to campus and "shoot them."

Knaps said the girl was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Juvenile Detention Center on charges of disturbing the peace and terrorizing.
