This year's Baker/Zachary Relay for Life event is set for Friday, April 19, at BREC's Zachary Community Park.

Cancer survivors are invited to sign up now at www.relayforlife.org/zacharybakerla to get an invitation to the FREE Survivor Celebration dinner scheduled for 6-7 p.m. at Relay For Life and to receive a FREE purple Survivor t-shirt.

If you have lost loved ones to cancer, please e-mail their photo with name and years lived to aimee.bellue@zacharyschools.org to be included in this year’s Luminaria slide show.

The Next Relay For Life informational meeting will be Monday, March 18, in Lane Regional Medical Center’s West Wing Conference Room. All are welcome to attend.

Additionally, old cell phones and electronics are being collected at the Zachary Branch Library, 1900 Church St., to recycle and raise money for your Relay team.

This year's Relay For Life event begins April 19 at 5 p.m. with the annual Volleyball tournament.

Luminaria Bags are $10 each and Wishing Lanterns are $25 each and available from Denise Burdette at the City of Zachary's Dept. of Public Works located at 4650 Main St.
