Did you know, nine out of every 10 car seats are installed incorrectly?

Because of this staggering statistic, the Baker Fire Department, along with Lexlee’s Kids and the Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force, will be hosting a child seat check-up on Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Baker Fire Station, located at 3701 Groom Rd. in Baker.

Make sure your little ones are safe, and get your child’s car seat checked this Spring.

"We really want to reach out to the citizens of Baker and surrounding communities. Last year the City of Baker Police issued 183 child seat citations," said Baker Public Information Officer Cathy Page. "The number of incorrectly installed car seats is a staggering figure...our childrens' safety is a top priority."
