![]() On Thursday, March 31, several volunteers from the Parent-Teacher Organization at Zachary Early Learning Center teamed up with Papa John’s for a new kind of fundraiser. Students from the school were asked to call in a delivery order from 5 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday, and ZELC volunteers delivered. Papa John’s donated 20 percent of all the delivery orders placed as well as 100 percent of the tips given. ZELC Assistant Principal Angela Cassard said the school raised $1,000 with around 90 of the school’s students participating in the fundraiser. ![]() Students all over East Baton Rouge Parish auditioned to participate in the All-Parish Honor Choir. Students selected for participation came together in January at McKinley Middle Magnet School for the Performing Arts to learn and perform several songs selected by the guest clinician, Barbara Walker. All students who auditioned from Northwestern Middle School were selected to participate in the ensemble.
