The Baker High School Cheerleading squad visited the Baker Heritage Museum on Friday, Aug. 17. The girls are planning to take part in several fall projects at the Baker Museum as part of a community service effort.

For the entire month of September, the Baker Museum is asking the community to take part in a Pledge-Your-Pumpkin Project.

Citizens are asked to donate a pumpkin of any size to the museum throughout the month of September by dropping them off at 1606 Main St. in Baker.

In October, kids and their families will be invited to trick-or-treat in the Baker Heritage Village, as well as paint the pumpkins with the cheerleaders.

Come join the BHS Cheerleaders as they take part in several of the paint-your-pumpkin sessions on Saturday, Oct. 20; Saturday, Oct. 27; Saturday, Nov. 10; or Saturday, Nov. 17.

Everyone is invited to come paint a pumpkin at the Baker Heritage Museum on one or all of the days mentioned. Paint sessions begin at 10 a.m., and kids must be accompanied by adults. This will be a great holiday photo opportunity for you and your family!

Once the pumpkins are painted, families can take them home in time for Thanksgiving or use them to bake pumpkin pies.

For more information about the project, please call the Baker Heritage Museum at 225-774-1776.
