The Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC) will close the administrative offices, 6201 Florida Blvd., on Tues., Jan. 1 for the New Year’s Day holiday. Normal operating hours will resume at all BREC facilities on Wed., Jan. 2.

All BREC golf courses will remain open for the New Year’s holiday.

All BREC tennis centers will close on Tues., Jan. 1. Greenwood tennis center will also close on Mon., Dec. 31.

BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo, Cohn Arboretum, Farr Park Equestrian Center, Magnolia Mound Plantation and all recreation centers will close on Tues., Jan. 1.

BREC’s Baton Rouge Gallery, Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, Highland Road Park Observatory and Independence Park Theatre will close on Mon., Dec. 31 and Tues., Jan. 1.

At Perkins Road Extreme Park, the BMX track will close on Mon., Dec. 31 and Tues., Jan. 1, while the skate park will remain open on both days.
