EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH--The Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC) will close the administrative offices, 6201 Florida Blvd., on Thurs., Nov. 22, and Fri., Nov. 23, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Normal operating hours will resume at all BREC facilities on Mon., Nov. 26.

BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo, Magnolia Mound Plantation, Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, Perkins Road Extreme Park and all BREC golf courses will close on Thurs., Nov. 22, and reopen during normal operating hours on Fri., Nov. 23.

All BREC tennis centers will close on Thurs., Nov. 22, and all centers except the Greenwood Community Park Tennis Center in Baker will reopen at 1 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 23.

BREC will close all recreation centers and select special facilities including Cohn Arboretum, the Baton Rouge Gallery, Farr Park Equestrian Center, Highland Road Park Observatory and Independence Park Theatre on Thurs., Nov. 22, and Fri., Nov. 23.
