BREC hosts Caroling in City Park this holiday season

Get into the holiday spirit with Caroling in City Park. Come out to BREC’s City-Brooks Community Park, 1515 Dalrymple Drive, on Thursday, Dec. 15, and Friday, Dec. 16 from 5:30-8 p.m.

On Dec. 15, patrons can enjoy the following entertainment: Park Lighting Ceremony, Florida Boulevard Baptist Church children and youth choirs, Lyrical Quartet singers, CFMA-Cajun Dance troupe, African Heritage Club dance teams, BREC’s Baton Rouge Idol winners and Greater Baton Rouge Grove Puppet Ministry.

Entertainment on Dec. 16 includes: Community Candlelight Caroling, African Heritage Club choir, vocalist Tanesha Craig, BREC’s Belfair Teen Center DJ Troupe, Caledonian Society’s Pipes and Drums, Star Hill Anointed Hand of Testimony Puppet Ministry, BREC’s Baton Rouge Idol winners and BREC’s Red Oaks Salsa dancers.

Both nights include visits with Santa Claus, live entertainment, Knock Knock Children’s Museum, cookie decorating, holiday characters, vendors and fun activities for the whole family.

Sponsors for Caroling in City Park include Friends of City Park, Perkins Road Historic Merchants District and MidCity Redevelopment Alliance.  Event admission is free for both nights.
