Baker and Zachary individuals arrested after DELTA Narcotics traffic stop

Three people were arrested Thursday night, Nov. 11, after law enforcement agencies from the the DELTA Narcotics Task Force executed a traffic stop project, said Capt. David McDavid of the Zachary Police Department.

The DELTA Narcotics Task Force is made up of members from the Baker, St. Francisville and Zachary Police Departments, East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, Pointe Coupee Sheriff's Office, West Feliciana Sheriff's Office and the Baton Rouge City Constable's Office.

One traffic stop resulted in the arrest and booking of Douglas Cazes, 21, of Zachary, for possession of methamphetamines, possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container and improper lane usage, Capt. McDavid said.

Officers also arrested two individuals from Baker: Dolores Jackson, 25, and Randall Thomas, 27, with possession with intent to distribute marijuana after finding small packed bags of marijuana in their vehicle, said McDavid.

The three individuals were booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
