Ozark Insurance Agency, 3040 Ray Weiland Drive, Baker, celebrated its 40th anniversary with an open house in December. Bob Mitchell started the company in 1971. His son Gary Mitchell took over in 1999.

The independent insurance agency provides affordable auto, business, home and life insurance customized to the client’s needs.

The agency also served at a collection point for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank in December.

Attending the ceremony were Bob Mithcell and his wife Yvonne; Gary Mitchell, his wife Elke and their daughter Kristi Watson; and service representatives Heather Westmoreland, Brandi Savage and Deirdre Breaux.

Watson is a Southeastern Louisiana University, Hammond, marketing graduate and works at Ozark with her parents.
