A retired employee of Ethyl Corp. and owner of Feliciana Stump Grinding, he died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. in his home in Ethel surrounded by his loved ones and loyal companion, Duke. He was born March 3, 1943, and shared 48 wonderful years with his loving wife, Loretta Sanders Brashier. He was a graduate of Zachary High School, Class of 1962. Estes is survived by his son, Carl Brashier and daughter-in-law Ivy Brashier; two daughters, Barbara "Babs" Brashier Hebert and husband Lloyd Hebert III, Theresa "JoJo" Deshotel and husband Kurt Deshotel. He has seven grandchildren, Aaron Brashier, Robert Brashier, Colton Brashier, Callie Kelly, Amanda Allen, Jo'Leigh Deshotel and Emily Deshotel. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister and an infant daughter, Lora Lyn Brashier. Visiting at Redwood Baptist Church on La. 412 in Slaughter on Wednesday, April 13, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visiting will resume at Redwood Baptist Church, Thursday, April 14, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Dr. Ron Aguillard and Brother Rick Wood. The pallbearers will be Aaron Brashier, Robert Brashier, Colton Brashier, Tommy Brashier, Rodney Brashier, Kurt Deshotel and Steve Zachary. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Strain, Johnny Callender and Robert Brashier Jr. Special thanks to Drs.
