The doubleheader was played at Zachary Youth Park and in lieu of a gate fee, attendees were asked to make a contribution will go to the Susan G. Koman Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Both teams donned pink attire for the doubleheader, and attendees from the Zachary community also showed their support by wearing pink to cheer on the two teams.
Last year, Zachary and Parkview Baptist raised $5,500 for breast cancer awareness. The total for this year's Real Men Wear Pink fundraiser had not been calculated as of this posting.
In the first game of Real Men Wear Pink, the Broncos nearly edged out the Eagles but lost 4 - 5.
The Eagles also defeated the Broncos in the second match-up with a score of 6 - 3.
Real Men Wear Pink was sponsored by the Bank of Zachary, Lane Regional Medical Center, Parkview Baptist and Zachary High School.
Raising Cane's also sponsored a dizzy bat contest between the two games.
Great job, guys!
