The Broncos pushed West Feliciana from the ranks of the unbeaten as Zachary rolled to a 36-21 win over the Saints.

Zachary scored on their opening possession as Boston Scott ran it in from five yards out, and Jacob Garrett’s kick gave the Broncos a 7-0 lead.

West Feliciana responded with a 50-yard scoring run by Devin Bailey, and Blake Meyers’ PAT tied the game.

The Broncos took a 14-7 lead into the second period when Scott scored on a three-yard run, and Garett added the extra point.

Scott scored his third touchdown of the first half, this time it was a 31-yard pass from Trey Hills, and the Broncos led 20-7.

West Feliciana closed the gap to 20-14 when Dennis Bell scored on a 52-yard run, and Meyers nailed the PAT.

Late in the first half, the Broncos extended their lead to 26-14 when Scott caught his second receiving touchdown on a six-yard pass from Hills.

Zachary added the only points of the third quarter on a 27-yard field goal by Garrett for a 29-14 advantage.

The ZHS Broncos seemed poised for a blowout when Donald Gage hauled in a 21-yard pass from Hills, and Garrett’s kick increased Zachary to a 36-14 margin.

The Saints answered with a 58-yard scoring strike to Deldrick Harris from Bell and Meyers’ PAT closed the final margin to 36-21.

The two offenses were similar with the running game as West Feliciana outgained Zachary 227-195.

Zachary outgained the Saints, 241 to 109 in the air. Hills threw for 242 yards, and Gage led the receivers with 117 yards and a TD.

W. Feliciana QB Bell completed 5 of 11 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown. Bell, Dedric Cobb and Devin Bailey combined to run for 221 yards.
