Kids Day will take place on Sunday, Aug. 12, from 12-5 p.m. at the Mall of Louisiana. The event includes free activities and entertainment for children of all ages. Free services such as library cards and ID cards will be available to children throughout the afternoon.
The star of Kids Day is LSU’s mascot, Mike the Tiger, who will leave his habitat and arrive at the mall in his tiger trailer at 4 p.m. All events lead up to the raffle drawing of a children’s playhouse at 5 p.m.
The CASA playhouse is on display through Aug. 12 inside the Mall of Louisiana. Playhouse raffle tickets are available for $5 each at the mall, the CASA office (848 Louisiana Ave.) and online at www.casabr.org. Capital Area CASA Association would like to thank all of our event sponsors, including title sponsor Holmes Building Materials, and platinum sponsors Faulk & Meek General Contractors, Mall of Louisiana and The Advocate.
CASA – Court Appointed Special Advocates – is a non-profit organization that recruits, trains and supervises community volunteers to speak up for abused and neglected children and help them find safe and permanent homes as quickly as possible. Support of Casas for CASA will enable Capital Area CASA Association to continue to provide a trained advocate for every child who needs one in East Baton Rouge Parish.
