Yet another Zachary High School student-athlete has signed a scholarship to play athletics at the college level.

Bronco baseball player Cade Milazzo, 18, recently signed on to play ball for the Wildcats at Louisiana College in Pineville.

Milazzo signed Jan. 18 with parents Jimmy and Shannon Milazzo present, as well as the Bronco baseball team and ZHS Ahtletics Department representatives Joey Sanchez and Dianne LeBlanc.

Milazzo, a middle infielder for the mighty Broncos, says he signed with La. College because many of his friends attend school there.

"This has been a dream of mine to play college baseball since the age of 4," Milazzo said. "I liked the LC campus because it was close, I liked the campus and some of my friends are there."

"It's really nice to have a community, school system and baseball program that provide kids an opportunity to develop and advance so they can play baseball at the next level," said Jimmy Milazzo, Cade's dad.

Mom Shannon Milazzo says she's excited her son will be relatively close by. "We're looking forward to attending all of his games and watching him play," Shannon said.

"It's always a good day when one of our kids signs to play ball at the next level," said Head Coach Jesse Cassard.

Milazzo thanked his team, family and coaches for all their support.
