Tonight, Nov. 13, the new Zachary Visual & Performing Arts Theater will celebrate its premiere opening by showcasing the Campina Grande Chamber Choir from Brazil.

The Campina Grande Choir performance begins at 6 p.m. in the new facility, located on the Zachary High School campus at 4100 Bronco Lane in Zachary.

Admission is free and open to the public.

The choir is under the direction of Dr. Vladimir Silva and is composed of college students and members of the community whose purpose is to promote music education through choral music.

The choir will perform an eclectic repertoire including works from the Renaissance period to contemporary pieces for choir.

The Zachary United Methodist Church choir will join the Chamber Choir in the performance for at least one piece.
