The City of Central Rotary Club proudly announces “Bedlam in Central,” and the event will mark Central’s first ever bed races.

The event is open to all, and teams will compete for the titles of Favorite Sleepwear, Best Decorated Bed and the coveted title of Fastest Bed on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 9 a.m.-Noon. This exciting event will feature fun activities for the entire family at the Starkey Academy School Site (the old Central Intermediate School on Joor Road).

In addition to the bed races, there will be activities for children, a silent auction and jambalaya prepared by Jerry Lee.

All of the funds raised from the bed race will benefit the Central Community Assistance Foundation (CCAF), a non-profit organization created to solicit and receive funds and resources for the purpose of assisting students and their families who live in the City of Central or within the geographical area of the Central Community School System

and who are in transition due to economic hardship and/or crisis.

The Central Rotary Club encourages all businesses to get involved by helping CCAF and showcasing their business or organization at the same time.

Get involved by:

-Becoming a sponsor of “Bedlam in Central". Sponsorship forms must be returned by Sept. 1, along with investment.

-Enter the “Bedlam in Central” bed race by completing and returning the form along with your entry fee by Sept. 1.

-Bring your family and friends to the event and enjoy all of the excitement and thrills of this exciting competition.

Your participation in this most worthwhile event is greatly appreciated. The City of Central Rotary Club is honored to support CCAF and the many wonderful things that they do for the less fortunate children in the community.

For more information or for sponsorship forms, contact the City of Central Rotary Club’s representative, Jennifer Hinton, at EMCO, 225-925-8900 ext. 722, or by e-mailing jhinton@emcobr.com.
