This week is Homecoming week at Zachary High School, and activities and events are planned until the dance on Saturday, Oct. 20, in the high school gym.

This year's theme is Hooray for Hollywood!

Week-long events include a community pep rally on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 5:30 p.m. in Bronco Stadium.

On Friday, Oct. 19, a school pep rally will be held at 11 a.m. in the ZHS gym, and students will enjoy an early dismissal at 12:30 p.m.

Prior to Friday night's game against Walker High School, a community parade will roll down Main Street beginning at 3 p.m.

The Homecoming parade route will travel down Main Street from ZHS to the Bank of Zachary, where it will turn left through the bank's parking lot and continue up Lee Street until it reaches the high school.

Floats will consist of elementary, middle and high school student bodies.

Pre-game ceremonies on Friday begin at 6:40 p.m. in Bronco Stadium.

During halftime, the 2012 ZHS Homecoming Court will be presented, followed by the announcement of this year's ZHS Homecoming Queen.

At ZHS, students are enjoying a different dress up day this week.

Monday was Superhero Day, Tuesday was Movie/TV Character Day, Wednesday is Pajama Day, Thursday is Western Day and Friday is Spirit Day.

The community is encouraged to attend this week's ZHS Homecoming festivities and support the Broncos in their quest for victory on Friday, Oct. 19.
