The Bronco Backers of Zachary High School and the Ladies Nite Out committee welcomed dozens of vendors and local merchants from the Zachary community on July 19 for its inaugural shopping extravaganza.

For one night only, women shopped, dined on hors d'oeuvres and were treated to a fashion show from local boutiques, as well as the ZHS Sportswear shop, located in the ZHS Academic/Athletic Building.

Merchants sold their wares and a great time was had by all.

The inaugural event is a fundraiser for the Bronco Backers.

In addition, tours were given of the ZHS athletic facilities, as well as raffle and door prizes.

The Ladies Nite Out committee included: Dianne LeBlanc, Eden Logan, Whitney Weiner, Suzy Sanchez, Wanda Carrier, Michelle Venable, Charlie Vince and Ruth Ann Kuhns.

In addition, several of the Zachary High School coaches' wives were featured guest speakers at the inaugural Ladies Nite Out event.

Speakers included Whitney Weiner (wife of Coach Neil Weiner, football); Paula Moreau (wife of Coach Mark Moreau, wrestling); Wanda Carrier (wife of Coach Chris Carrier, track/asst. football); and Leslie Efferson-Yellott (wife of Coach Robbie Yellott, weightlifting/strength & conditioning).

Other wives honored at the LNO event were Jodie Watts (wife of Principal Wes Watts); Suzi Sanchez (wife of Athletic Director, Joey Sanchez); and Nakeisha Cleveland (wife of Asst. Coach Kendall Cleveland, football).

Thanks to all who made the LNO event a huge success.
