Lady Broncos finish with 6-0 win over Walker, Senior players honored

The four senior players on the Zachary HIgh School Lady Bronco soccer team were honored Friday, Jan. 28, after the ZHS vs. Walker game.

Zachary finished their season at home with a 6 - 0 win over Walker and on Tuesday, Jan. 24, they defeated the Central Lady Wildcats to clinch the 4-5A district champion title.

The ladies finish the season with an overall record of 17 wins, five losses and one draw.

Head Coach Paul Owen and Assistant Coach Keavin Tanner, along with the rest of the Lady Bronco team, recognized the four senior players - Madeline Pipkin, Rachel Babin, Brittany Castello and Jami Conerly - along with their parents, on Friday night. The seniors played their last game in Bronco Stadium and went out on a season and career high as champions of the 4-5A district.

Senior Rachel Babin was recognized with her parents by her side, Bobby and Janet Babin.

Senior Brittany Castello was recognized with her parents, Danette and Andy Castello.

Senior Jami Conerly was recognized along with her parents, Trey Conerly and Trina Portune.

Senior Madeline Pipkin, also the team captain, was honored with her parents, Michelle and David Pipkin by her side.

Congratulations to all the Lady Broncos on a terrific season! Good luck, Seniors, and good luck to all the Lady Broncos as you head to the playoffs!
