Hosting the shower were family and friends of the groom, and the theme of the party was “Caught up in Love.”
The couple was presented a painted, cajun wooden paddle depicting the theme, and a “Crawfish Pot” with all of the trimmings for a seafood boil from the hosts.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Jan LeJeune. The groom is the son of Donnie and Maxie Zachary.
Guests enjoyed a “Cajun” crawfish boil, served from a wooden piroux boat underneath a gazebo adorned with fishing nets, moss and decorative crawfish.
The tables were decorated with red and white checkered tablecloths, topped with fishing nets, cajun serving boats and pails with yellow flowers.
For dessert, guests were served strawberry short cake in ornamental jelly jars and beautifully decorated crawfish cookies.
Special guest, Ryan Jackson, the groom’s brother, from Denver, Colo., surprised the groom with his attendance.
The couple celebrated their nuptials on Saturday, May 5, during a 1 p.m. ceremony at Christ the King Catholic Church in Baton Rouge.
