On Saturday, July 21, The Old Fishing Pond, will be featured from 1 - 3 p.m. at Audubon State Historic Site, 11788 La. Hwy. 965 in St. Francisville.

A costumed park interpreter will be at the pond speaking of the role of fishing in early America and introducing the visitor to a few of the site's resident creatures.

Afterwards, visitors are encouraged to walk the nature trails in the park through areas once travelled by the naturalist John James Audubon while at the plantation.
