A native of Chataignier, Mr. Leroy Ardoin, 64, of Ville Platte, died at 11:15 a.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara McKenzie Ardoin of Ville Platte; one son, Dwayne Ardoin and his wife, Kim, of Ville Platte; one daughter, Trudy Ardoin of Marksville; one brother Clinton Ardoin of Ville Platte; one sister, Virginia Gauthier and her husband, Ardrian, of Alexandria; and four grandchildren, Brittney and Nicholas Ardoin of Ville Platte and Johnnathan and Byran Ortego of Marksville.
He was preceded in death by one son, Dana Ardoin; his parents, Clement and Ovilia Ardoin; and one brother, Clement Ardoin Jr.

MAMOU - Funeral services will be held for Robert Lee Frank, 61, of Mamou, at St. Luke Baptist Church in Mamou at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 7. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery.
Mr. Frank died at 4:28 a.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.
Survivors include two sons, Christopher Lee Richard and Robert Gallow, both of Mamou; one daughter, Michelle Palmer of Eunice; one brother, Linton Frank Jr. of Mamou; one sister, Hilda M. Hilts of St. Petersburg, Florida; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Linton Frank Sr. and Lovenia Frank; and one granddaughter, Romiesha Gallow.
Pall bearers will be Christopher Richard, Robert Gallow, Van McKeit Frank, James Frank, Calvin Adams, Savalas Noel and Lindgerbh Guillory Jr.
Rev. Mack C. Guillory will officiate.

PINE PRAIRIE - Funeral services were held for Cynthia Vidrine, 55, of Pine Prairie, at First Baptist Church in Pine Prairie at 2 p.m., Sunday, February 2. Burial followed in the Fontenot Cemetery.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Mrs. Vidrine died at 1:35 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Prairie Manor Nursing Home.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd Vidrine of Pine Prairie; one son, Christopher Vidrine of Pine Prairie; three daughters, Becky Brown of Denham Springs, Nichole Bourgeois of Bayou Chicot and Vicky Moras of Pine Prairie; one brother, Randell Deshotel of Pine Prairie; and eleven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Deshotel and Verile Fontenot; and one sister, Yvonne Lafleur.

Funeral services were held for James R. Soileau Jr., 39, of Opelousas, at St. John Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 7 p.m., Tuesday, February 3. Burial was held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 4, in the Soileau Cemetery.
Mr. Soileau died Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at Doctor’s Hospital in Opelousas.
Survivors include his parents, Juanita Soileau of Ville Platte and Royphy Soileau Jr. of Opelousas; his wife, Iris Cordero Soileau of Opelousas; two sons, James Soileau and Santos Soileau, both of Opelousas; one daughter, Carmen Soileau of Opelousas; three brothers, Matthew Soileau and Herman Soileau, both of Ville Platte, and Royphy Soileau III of Eunice; and his grandmother, Audrey Freeman of Ville Platte.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jerome Soileau; his paternal grandparents, Royphy and Elise Lavine Soileau; and his maternal grandfather, Herman Freeman.
