On Saturday and Sunday, March 26 - 27, Port Hudson SHS in Zachary will host the annual reenactment of the siege of Port Hudson. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., visitors will have access to volunteers in Union and Confederate campsites performing typical activities of the assaults. Soldiers dressed in authentic reproduction uniforms will be answer questions pertaining to the siege during the summer of 1863.
