The Red Snapper Division, sponsored by Whitney Bank, drew to a close at 11:59 p.m. on July 16, marking the end of the two-month long red snapper season.
The 29-year-old Joffrion caught his 27.29 pound Red Snapper aboard a 36’ Contender at with trip 275 hp Mercury Veradoes at the South Pass Apache Oil Rig.
He weighed his prize-winning fish at Venice Marina.
There are still over 30 prizes left available in the other divisions of STAR.
STAR ends at 5 p.m. on Sept. 3.
