The United States Navy band from New Orleans will be performing a FREE concert in the West Feliciana High School auditorium in St. Francisville on Monday, Mar. 4, at 6 p.m.

The group will have a brass quintet, woodwind quintet, jazz ensemble, New Orleans style brass band and a concert band featuring selected students from the high school band.

All are invited to attend.

Based at the historic Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C., The US Navy Band has served the nation as the official musical organization of the United States Navy since 1925.

The United States Navy Band serves the ceremonial needs at the seat of government, performing at presidential inaugurations, state arrival ceremonies, state funerals, state dinners and other significant events.

The US Navy Band performs all styles of music from ceremonial pieces such as "ruffles and flourishes" to classical, rock, jazz and country hits.

You do not want to miss the historical event in the neighboring community of St. Francisville on Mar. 4.

West Feliciana High School is located at 8604 U.S. Highway 61 about 20 minutes north of Zachary.
